The End Is Not Near

40 Years into the future (2050) the world has been completly submurged by water, global warming as it was warned has fully taken place and the polar ice caps have melted rising the sea level dramatically, Sharks and sea creatures have moved to top on the food chain as lead predators. Its a story of survival as Alex Horror and his companions must fight for there lives.
Alex is one of the few survivours left in New York City as most of the population drowned, starved or have been killed by sea creatures. He and a few survivours live on the top floor of the empire state building as it is one of the few buildings that isn't submurged by sea level.
30 years previous the waterlevels became the biggest problem, as supplies ran out and the world could not grow food and the world began to starve, so the next generation have to hunt for food in the water, altohugh this is dangerous it has to happen or those who are left will starve. Famin is not rare anywhere in the world today. The government supplied suvivours packages of food that were drop from aircraft carriers from a fixed sea base for the US army, but the past few weeks supplies have cut of, either they to have ran out or the sea has submurged the sea base and cut of source.
Alex decides to take control as he knows no one is going to help them now. They must leave the safety of the ES building and search for food or land to settle on. They build a boat from what they can find nearby. as they set sail with all 15 survivours on board they get half way across the city and tidal waves destroy their ship and seperate ther group. Alex holds on to a girls hand as she is scared. They end up being picked up by a transportation ship full of ex marines who take them on board, later to find out they have resulted to canibalism and plan to eat the two of them, They fight to escape and the boat becomes a battle field where alex and a few other picked up survivours capture some wepons and fight back against the canibals. 7 men from the ship survive and escapes with them. They steal a small subarmine from the ship and set sail for an on sea refuge centre set up by the US gonvernment because they heard about it from some of the other survivours that died fighting back on the ship. We find out that Jenson, on who escaped with them is a crazed murderer who pleeded insanity in court. He slowly begings to kill the survivours as they travel to try and prevent there survival. Just before they get to the refuge centre there is only 3 of them and Jenson left and Darren the one man apart from alex left sacrifices himself and blows up the ship from a broken gas pump. Alex and Lola whos relationship has grown through out the adventure escape the sinking ship and swim to a raft near by, unknowingly that Jeson also managed to escape the main explosion, sufferd from sevier burns from the blast. Alex and Lola beggin to swim to the mass of land that is the refuge centre but from behind them Jeson rises from the water onto the same raft they just left, raises his gun and shoots Lola in the back of her head. As she beggins to sink on the water Alex tries to hold her up an is in histericks for the woman he now loved. He turns with nothing to lose and swims towards the raft with one aim. Jenson and Alex fight with odd objects on the ship after Alex nocked the gun from his grasp. Alex jumps on him and keeps hitting him with everything he is got, and beats Jeson to a life less pulp. Then turns raises the gun Jeson used to shoot Lola and says "the ends not near, Its here." and shoots himself in the mouth....
